Annabella was born one of five daughters of Hugo Arkvice and Iris Arkvice. As a child, she was betrothed to her future husband, Jonathan Arkvice. From a young age, Annabella attempted to be the son her parents never had to gain their approval and attention.

Annabella was raised by a Noirian Nanny along with her sisters and attended Southbridge Prep School and Southbridge School.

As an adult, Annabella became involved in politics despite the expectations of her and, after marrying Jonathan, retained her Arkvice surname which Jonathan himself took on. This reversal of traditional Noirian roles created disapproval from Annabella's peers and various political figures but did provide her with support from others who praised her progressive approach to continuing the Arkvice line.

In 1981, Annabella and Jonathan's daughter, Kathrine Arkvice, is born and then, in 1984, after Strelka uprising, Annabella becomes the Pouvoir of England, replacing Marcus Charbonneau I.
