Sandra was a teacher at a North Central City primary school. During her time there, she taught Damon Stower, Kurt Stower, Joe Stower, Liam Stower, Ethan Stower, and Adam Harris.

In 1988, Sandra put Ethan forward for a Southbridge School Scholarship in maths and science as she saw great potential in him. Ethan was was awarded this scholarship a few years later in 1991.
