Early Life
The second son of Robert Stower and Nancy Stower, Kurt has a very difficult childhood. He was born with a learning disability and his father would often become angered at Kurt and inflicted physical abuse towards him. Most notably, after having his skull cracked open, his father rushed Kurt to hospital leading to large healthcare charges that put the family into debt that they never recovered from.

Kurt sporadically attended his local primary school from age 5 to 11. After failing all of his final year exams, Kurt left school in 1987. After leaving school he lived with his parents and brothers until 1993 when he was able to move in with his girlfriend, Natalie Pole, and his 1 year old daughter, Mia Stower.

Family Life
Kurt's new life with Natalie was no less chaotic than his early years. The family often moved from flat to flat and Kurt would act out violently towards Natalie and Mia. Despite this, Kurt and Natalie remained together until 1997, when Natalie left one night without warning.

In 1998, after loosing his current job in a warehouse for theft and being unable to pay his rent, he and Mia moved in with his elder brother Damon Stower. They remained with Damon and his family until the governmental overhaul in late 1998, as Damon, fearing the newly established social services, evicted them.

Kurt continued to move from place to place with Mia until 2001, when his daughter's absence from school prompted an investigation from social services. This investigation lead to the removal of Mia from Kurt's care and a one year prison sentence. Kurt saw Mia for the last time in 2007 when he paid her a visit at the North Meadows Children's Home.

Convictions and Suicide
Although Kurt committed many crimes previous to 1998, it wasn't until then, after the governmental overhaul that convictions were made.

Kurt was first convicted for the abuse of his daughter, Mia Stower, in 2001. After which he was convicted for various cases of assault, theft, and vandalism. In 2007, Kurt and Damon were arrested and convicted for attempted burglary, for which Kurt received a two year sentence.

Kurt tended to be happier in prison as he did not have to worry about paying rent or having enough to eat. He also made a couple of friends when inside, something he had never had before.

After being released from his two year sentence in 2009, Kurt, unable to acquire a job due to his convictions, found himself with no money or home. He lived on the streets for 6 months with severe depression before jumping in front of a train on the outskirts of The City.
